The Berhan International Research Journal of Science and Humanities (BIRJSH) will comprise editor-in-chief, associate editors, editorial manger, and technical editor. A journal’s editorial board can affect its quality, so editors should consider (a) location of board members not to affect reach of the Journal, (b) Board members' expertise aligned to the journal's scope, and (c) representation of key research institutes, (d) top experts of the university, and (e) top reviewers in the field.

The editorial board is the pool of experts in the field, who dictate the tone and direction the Journal’s editorial policy will take. BIRJSH operates under the guidance of an editorial board, providing expert advice on content, attracting new authors and encouraging submissions.

The editorial board members are responsible to review submitted manuscripts, advise on journal policy and scope, identify topics for special issues (which they may guest edit), attract new authors and submissions, promote the journal to their colleagues and peers, assist the editor(s) in decision making over issues such as plagiarism claims and submissions where reviewers can’t agree on a decision.
